Research Paper: INTRODUCTION

RUBRIC

Please note that this is only a GENERAL method for scoring your papers.  I may take off (or give) points that are not elucidated in this rubric.  If you have questions, please talk to me.

A.      TITLE PAGE:  (5 points) It must be centered, doubled-spaced, good title, and your names must be in alphabetical order. You must include a "running head" and a "header".  The header must also appear at the top of every page in the introduction and on your reference page.  I do NOT require page numbers.

B.    INTRODUCTION: (35 points)

1)       Library Research (20 points): It must be clear that you researched your topic and that you understand what you are writing about. (GEE!!)

2)      Integration (5points): It must be clear that you have synthesized the materials you found
while doing your research.  In other words, your introduction must MAKE SENSE!!!!

 3)       Citations (5 points): You MUST cite all references accurately. Otherwise, you will be kicked
        out of  Harvard for PLAIGERISM!!!!

4)       Hypothesis (5 points): Again, you must incorporate all of your research into a “question”or a “prediction”. Based on your Internet and library research, what do you expect to find when you finally have collected your empirical data?????

C.      REFERENCES: (10 points): Again, it probably seems “picky” to you BUT, your references

Must match the citations in the body of your paper. You will lose points for not accurately citing your sources and then referring to them on the Reference Page.
